At UC Davis Health, we understand the need to work from wherever you are. When you're traveling or working from home please follow these tips to stay secure, connected and productive.

To minimize the impact on UC Davis Health's infrastructure and support resources, please use these options in this order.

  1. If you have a UC Davis Health laptop, bring it home and start using it. It is already secured and ready for remote work with AnyConnect VPN installed.
  2. If you don't have a UC Davis Health laptop, use your personal computer (click here to review the personal equipment use security policy)inorder of least complex to most complex setup, here are your options:
    • Option 1: Access your most commonly used applications on the web:
      • HSAPPSfor remote access to Epic, OWA, RL Solutions and many other applications.
      • Office 365for email (requires DUO)
      • WebEx:for video and audio conferencing
    • Option 2: If you need full access to the UC Davis Health network, file shares/mapped drives and a broader set of specialized applications, use theAnyConnect VPNThis is the most complex setup but provides the broadest access.
      • Install AnyConnect VPN
      • Your computer must be encrypted, and make sure your computer is backed up.
  1. The need for UC Davis Health issued computers is being evaluated by leadership. We have very limited access to additional computers. More inventory has been ordered but global supply chains are stretched due to the COVID-19 impact on China. Requests for laptops will be prioritized to support critical patient care and revenue cycle operations.
