Install Citrix Workspace Add Account If you received instructions to set up Workspace with your email or a server address, check Add Account, then click Continue. Add Account Co Back Continue Citrix Workspace Citrix Workspace Add Account Enter your work email or Server address provided by your IT department: Install Citrix Workspace. At the bottom of the page click on 'Get Citrix Workspace app for Mac' Click on 'Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac' Once the download is complete, click on '​CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg' to start the installation Double click 'Install Citrix Workspace.pkg' to start the installation.

  1. It is very important to 1st find out what operating system (MacOS) your Mac is running. If you install the wrong version of citrix for your Mac’s OS, ALS will not launch.
    1. To find your operating system click on the apple icon in the upper left corner. Select “About this Mac”.
    2. The name and version number of your Mac’s operating system appears on the “Overview” tab in the About This Mac window.
    3. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE VERSION NUMBER ONLY (ie. 10.14.xx)
  2. Now that you know the number of your MacOS. Pull up a Google Chrome browser and do a google search for, “Citrix Work Space app 10.XX download”. Replace “XX” with YOUR version number. The results will bring you to “www.citrix.com/… “ Or you can go to www.citrix.com.
  3. Make sure you download the correct version of Citrix Workspace App for Mac for your MacOS.
    If you have the correct version click on the download in the blue bubble.
  4. Once the download is complete (may take upto 5 minutes depending on speed) Double click on the .dmg file (citrix workspace app file)
  5. To install citrix workspace
    1. On the Introduction page, click Continue.
    2. On the License page, click Continue.
    3. Click Agree to accept the terms of the License Agreement. You do not need to enable “APP Protection” leave unchecked.
    4. On the Installation Type page, click Install.
    5. YOU DO NOT NEED TO add account or server information. Hit finish.
  6. Now that citrix is installed. Close out of the browser, open a new Google Chrome browser, go to our website, www.intellischool.org, click on online classes and “A+LS course work” or you can go directly to https://logon.intellischool.org
  7. Click on “Remember my choice…” and then click “Open Receiver…”
  8. If the sites asks to “detect receiver” hit “ok”
  9. Click on “Agree” THEN HIT “ALREADY INSTALLED” DO NOT SELECT “DOWNLOAD”.
  10. Click on the ALS APP Icon – hit open icon below
  11. It MAY create a download, double click on the download to launch ALS. Give it anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds to launch ALS. If it asks to open with “Citrix Workspace…” click it.
  12. A blue Intelli Screen will appear with an “OK” box. Click ok or hit “enter” on your keyboard to move on. Or you may need to give your MAC permission to launch the app. Look on your bottom bar if something needs your attention.
  13. Log into ALS

This document outlines the process to install the Citrix Workspace App for a Mac computer. The Citrix Workspace app runs the Virtual Applications & Desktops and must be installed on your computer for them to work.

1. Open up your internet browser of choice (we suggest google chrome or safari)

2. Navigate to: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html
3. Click the button labeled 'Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac' to download the installer file.

4. Save the file to your downloads folder (safari does this by default).
5. Navigate to your 'Downloads' folder and double click the CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg file

6. Double click the 'Install Citrix Workspace' button.

7. Select continue on the 'This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed' prompt.

8. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Citrix Workspace Installer window

9. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Software License Agreement window

10. Click the 'Agree' button to agree to the terms of the software license agreement

11. Click the 'Install' button to install to the default location.

12. Type in your Mac Username and Password (not Apple ID username/password) and then click the 'Install Software' button.

13. Leave the check box 'Add Account' unchecked and click the 'Continue' button.


15. Click the 'Move to Trash' button (this will delete the download files to save hard drive space)

16. Citrix Workspace App is now installed on your Mac and is ready to be used
